Easter Break: Part 6

We stayed in our little bungalow on the hill for 2 nights. At sunrise and sunset the whole jungle would erupt with the sound of cicadas. It was a nice change, waking up with the sun and going to bed when it got dark, with no clocks or calendars.

The only problem was that our bathroom & shower were down the hill. Add to that the complication of the mosquito net, and the fact that the restaurant was a bit pricey. It soon became clear that 2 nights would be plenty here.

We checked out and headed to the pier where we'd been dropped off the first time. (Over the bridge once again.)
We had some breakfast (banana pancakes again, please!) and hung out until the boat to Koh Wai came.

We took a speedboat to Koh Wai, a small island south of Koh Chang. We stayed in another bungalow here (less charming, but with an attached bath) for 2 more nights.

We originally planned to go to Ayutthaya, north of Bangkok, on our last day. We decided it would be better to stay here longer instead.

We took a boat back to the pier, and then a bus back to Bangkok on Monday. We stayed near Khao San Road in Bangkok Monday night. Then we headed to the airport on Tuesday.
