CNY Festivities

(Excessive) decorations at the malls:

The Flower Market:

We went to the annual parade in Tsim Sha Tsui on Thursday night.

This is what my camera captured about 90% of the time:

There's something wrong here.

No Fakes! "Shop for REAL."

The grand finale:

...and then the fireworks on Friday night:

Wishes for the New Year at the Lam Tsuen Wishing Tree:

Note: The actual Wishing Tree was under "rehabilitation" when we went. Apparently it got so heavy with wishes that its branches broke, injuring someone. Now you're instructed not to "hurl wishing placards onto the Wish-Making tree." Instead, you put them on these wooden bulletin boards.

There were some other great trees there, too.

The Wishing Tree is next to the Tin Hau temple.
