Eats, Shoots, and Leaves

Kim and Nancy visited this week, so we've been doing the tourist thing.
First up: The Peak. I'd never actually taken the tram before. Why? Because I'm cheap. It's fun, though!

Here's a poster from back in the day.

Today we went to the 10,000 Buddhas Monastery in Shatin. I think the ratio of stairs to buddhas is about 1:1. Allow me to illustrate.

We started off ok.
Can you spot the monkey?!

Half-way there.Disbelief. MORE stairs?
Sweaty. Almost there...

Dude! You made it!!

Finally! Inside the main hall.

Up some more stairs to see the Guanyin(s).
It's all in the details.

After the 10k buddhas we made a stop at Matt and I's apartment, then headed out to Diamond Hill for lunch and more buddha action.
