Wow, so it's officially my 10th month. I have one more to go, then I'm done with my Fulbright!
I've been going through my room and sorting out what I'm keeping and what's going in the trash, which means I inevitably stumble upon ticket stubs from September, souvenirs, and all kinds of other mementos. I can't believe all the things that have happened this year.
I'm also applying for new jobs. I got one at a tutoring centre, but I'll only be working a few hours per week, so I have to find a real one, too.
Matt and I have started looking for apartments, as well. There is a huge gap between what is affordable in Tai Po (aka the boonies) and what's affordable on the island, so it's been challenging to find something inbetween. We'll see, though!
As far as the year after next (August 2009ish), I'm looking at CELTA certificate programs. CELTA is the most reputable English Teaching certificate, and it's from Cambridge (oO0o fancy). I'm considering doing one in Rome for 6 weeks, then staying and teaching if possible. It's much easier to get a good job when you're a certified teacher, and by then I'll have about 3 years of tutoring/2 years of teaching experience. hooray!
