It's official, I'm going to Cambodia!
Matt and I got our visas yesterday. woo!
We fly into Bangkok, Thailand, a week from today. We're going to Ayutthaya by train as a day trip, then heading to the Thailand/Cambodia border by bus. We'll go to Siem Reap from there and check out Angkor Wat and some of the other temples & sites in the area. After a few days there we'll probably head either to Phnom Phen or Preah Vihear.
I just finished reading a book Meghan recommended -- First They Killed My Father by Loung Ung. It's a memoir of the Khmer Rouge takeover from the eyes of a young girl. I read the whole thing in about 2 days. You should check it out.
