Things I've never done before

Today was filled with paperwork but I finally have a bank account now, with money in it. WOO!
We went to the Tai Po market again this evening, and found even more fun stuff to ogle.

New experiences this week include:
  • Pizza Hut, asian-style. Apparently Pizza Hut is fancy here... and WAY better than at home! It only took 20 minutes to order a "Cheesy Lava Burst" stuffed crust pizza and a regular pan pizza with pepperoni and chicken. In case you were wondering, the "American Adventure" pizza is topped with ham, pepperoni, and corn.
  • Asian toilets. The squatting kind. 0_o
  • Chicken feet and dim sum in general. Chicken feet taste like wings, but um... more gruesome.
  • Locking myself out of my room... already. Note: the "Wardens" as they're called here (read: desk staff/security) don't generally speak English. Charades become more than just a party game. Same goes for buying things in Tai Po, especially when asking for electrical novelties (apparently) such as adaptors. In case you were wondering: just buy them before you go. It's damn near impossible to actually purchase such things. Especially for American appliances you're trying to plug into HK outlets. Unless of course you enjoy making lewd gestures in desperate attempts to communicate.
