On Friday we took a guided tour all over the New Territories, led by professors here at the University: K.Y. and Francis.
Yes, those really are their names. And yes, we giggled every time.
View from the foothill of Pat Sin mountain range.

We stopped at a waterfall called the Bride's Pool. What's that lump in the grass, to the left of the bus?

Oh, it's just roadside maintenance.

Then we went to Sha Tau Kok, a border town where you can look out and see Shenzhen in mainland China.

Lunch was interesting. No one at our table was really pleased about the traditional meal called Poon Choi ("Basin Feast"--aka MEAT MOUNTAIN) that they wanted us to eat.

Ingredients included: prawns (shrimp), chicken, duck, pork, mushrooms, bean curd, pig's skin, dried squid, radish, and some other unidentifiable items.
We also went to a few walled villages and temples. They were surprisingly modern but also pretty run-down.

Ancestral Hall.

Dhwani.

Souvenirs.

Attention to detail.
